Shipping policy
At Elling Studio, I want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Below you will find all the details regarding shipping, returns, and the specific terms for my handcrafted and personalized creations.
1. Shipping
I strive to process and ship your orders as quickly as possible.
DK:
FREE delivery on all orders.
1-5 work days for delivery of available pieces.
6-13 work days for delivery of made to order pieces.
EU (excl. Greece/Malta/Cyprus):
FREE delivery for orders over 350 EUR otherwise 20 EUR.
3-9 work days for delivery of available pieces.
8-17 work days for delivery of made to order pieces.
Greece/Malta/Cyprus:
FREE delivery for orders over 350 EUR otherwise 40 EUR.
3-9 work days for delivery of available pieces.
8-17 work days for delivery of made to order pieces.
Rest of World:
Contact me for delivery times, shipping costs and ordering as these orders are handled case-by-case and depends on country.
All stated delivery times are estimates,
Responsibility: Elling Studio bears the risk of the goods until they have been delivered to you or your designated recipient.
2. Rush Orders (Urgent Requests)
Do you have a specific deadline? If you need an item urgently (e.g., for a gift or a special event), please contact me at hello@ellingstudio.com before placing your order. I'm happy to discuss the possibilities and will do my very best to accommodate your timeframe.
3. Return & Exchange Policy
I offer different return terms depending on the type of product you have purchased:
- Standard Jewellery: I offer a 30-day return policy. To be eligible, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unworn or unused and in its original packaging.
- Engraved & Personalized Items: These items are final sale. In accordance with Danish law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that have been clearly personalized (e.g., rings or pendants with specific engravings).
- Bespoke (Custom-made): Because bespoke jewellery is created specifically to your requirements and measurements, these pieces cannot be returned or exchanged once production has commenced.
Legal Note: In accordance with the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (Forbrugeraftaleloven § 18, stk. 2, nr. 3), the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized.
4. Bespoke Terms & Design Rights
When you choose a Bespoke piece, we enter into a creative collaboration:
- Production: The order is considered final and binding once production has begun.
- Design Rights: Elling Studio retains all rights to the final design. While the piece is created in collaboration with you, the artistic and intellectual property remains with Elling Studio. I preserve the rights of all designs to be used in future collections or other projects unless otherwise agreed.
5. Exchange for a Different Jewellery Piece or Size
Would you like to exchange your jewellery for a different size or another model?
- Contact me first: Please email me at hello@ellingstudio.com before sending anything back.
- Why? This allows me to reserve the new item for you immediately.
- The Benefit: You avoid the wait for a refund and the need to place a brand-new order on the website. I will work with you to find the easiest solution for the exchange.
6. How to Return an Item
If you wish to return a standard item for a refund, please follow these steps:
- Contact me first: You must email hello@ellingstudio.com within 30 days of receiving your order to request a return.
- Wait for confirmation: Once your return is accepted, I will provide you with the necessary instructions.
- Shipping: Pack the item securely. You are responsible for the item until it reaches the studio.
- Return Shipping: Unless the item is defective, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
Important: Items sent back to me without first requesting a return via email will not be accepted, and a refund will not be issued. Please make sure to contact me before shipping.
7. Refunds
Once I have received and inspected your return, I will notify you of the approval.
- Original Payment Method: Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.
- Purchases with Gift Cards: If an item was purchased using a gift card, the refund will be issued as a new gift card credit.
8. Damages and Issues (Reclamation)
Your purchase is protected by the Danish Sale of Goods Act (Købeloven), providing a 24-month right to claim for defects that were present at the time of delivery. Please inspect your order upon reception and contact me immediately at hello@ellingstudio.com if the item is defective or damaged so we can find a solution.
