What is the delivery time for my order?
You can find estimated delivery times on each individual product page.
- Denmark & EU: The estimates on the product pages apply to all EU countries.
- International (Outside EU): Please contact me for a specific shipping quote and delivery estimate.
Do you offer Rush Orders?
If you have a specific deadline (e.g., a wedding or a birthday), please contact me before placing your order. I'm happy to discuss what is possible and will do my best to accommodate your timeframe.
Can I change or cancel my order?
For standard items, contact me immediately. If it hasn't shipped, I can help. For Bespoke or engraved items, changes cannot be made once production has begun, as these are made specifically for you.
What is your return policy?
- Standard Jewelry: 30-day return policy for unworn items in original packaging.
- Bespoke & Engraved: These are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged (per the Danish Consumer Contracts Act § 18).
Read the full details on our Shipping & Returns page.
How do I return or exchange an item?
You must contact me first via my Contact Form or at hello@ellingstudio.com before sending any items back. I will provide you with the necessary instructions and the correct return address. For a full step-by-step guide on the process, please visit our Shipping & Returns page.
Important: Items sent back without prior contact will not be accepted, and a refund will not be issued.
How are refunds handled for gift card purchases?
If you return a standard item purchased with a gift card, the refund will be issued as a new gift card.
How does the bespoke process work?
It's a creative collaboration! Whether you are looking for a unique everyday piece or a one-of-a-kind engagement ring, we start with a consultation to discuss your vision. You can read much more about the steps, materials, and inspiration on my Bespoke Jewellery page.
Do you create custom wedding and engagement rings?
Yes, specializing in wedding jewellery is a core part of Elling Studio. I love helping couples create symbols of their love that last a lifetime. You can see examples and read about the specialized process on my dedicated Wedding page or Bespoke Jewellery page.
Who owns the design rights to a bespoke piece?
Elling Studio retains all intellectual property and rights to the final design. While the piece is created specifically for you, I preserve the right to use the design in future collections. You can find the full terms on our Bespoke Jewellery page.
Can I use my own gold for a piece of jewelry?
Yes, absolutely! You can use your old gold (such as heirlooms or jewelry you no longer wear) in two ways:
- Directly: I can melt down your gold to create a unique Bespoke piece or a design from my existing collections.
- Trade-in (Offsetting): Alternatively, I can calculate the value of your gold and offset it against the price of a new piece of jewelry from Elling Studio.
To get started, please reach out via my Contact Form or at hello@ellingstudio.com to discuss your options and have your gold evaluated.
Can I use my own gemstones as well?
In many cases, yes. I can often unset gemstones from your old jewellery and incorporate them into a new design. This requires a physical inspection to ensure the stones are suitable for the new setting.
Is there a fee for using my own gold?
Yes, there are a few costs to consider:
- Evaluation & Testing: To ensure quality, all gold is acid-tested to verify its purity and karat. There is a small fee for this evaluation and testing process.
- Crafting Fee: If I melt down and refine your gold for a specific piece, there is a crafting fee for the labor and expertise involved.
- Trade-in: If you choose to offset the value (trade-in), I simply subtract the gold's value from the total price of your new jewelry.
How long does gold plating last?
Gold plating is a layer of gold over silver. Over time, it will naturally wear off depending on how often the jewellery is worn and how it is cared for. I offer a re-plating service for a small fee if your favorite piece needs a refresh.
How do I clean my jewellery at home?
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently polish your jewellery. For a deeper clean, use lukewarm water and a tiny bit of mild soap, then dry it thoroughly. For more detailed tips, visit my full Material & Care Guide.
How do I find my correct ring size?
The most accurate way is to visit a local jeweler. At home, you can measure the internal diameter of a ring you already own or measure the circumference of your finger with a piece of string. Check my detailed Size Guide for a step-by-step tutorial.
What if the size is wrong when I receive the ring?
- Standard Items: I offer exchanges for standard rings if the size isn't right. Please contact me via my Contact Form or at hello@ellingstudio.com within 30 days.
- Bespoke/Engraved Items: These cannot be exchanged. However, resizing is often possible for a small fee. Contact me via my Contact Form or at hello@ellingstudio.com to discuss your options.
